Artist: Emily Fox King Title: Weber River Material: oil on panel Size: 4 x 8 inches About the artist: Emily Fox King is a visual artist working in oil paint, sculpture, installation, and printmaking. Much of her work explores notions of femininity, including domestic spaces, and feminized objects (such as flowers, dollhouses and ballerinas). These pieces are a departure from her well known floral work and are exercises in plein air landscape painting. She enjoys the exercise of quickly surveying the scene and trying to capture the essence of the landscape with minimal brushwork and time, because of the quickly changing light.
