Sonic HPLC Reservoir Sensor System is used in laboratories to measure the levels of solvents used in unattended liquid chromatographic separations in real time. It is especially useful during a weekend or lengthy chromatographic analysis when there is the risk of running out of solvents during unattended operation. Similar products also monitor liquid levels inside the reservoir but most of those are controlled by weight or light measurement which can give inaccurate measurements when solvent levels change. The Sonic Sensor System employs a sound wave transmitter positioned in the reservoir’s cap to accurately measure the level of the solvent in the 1 liter reservoir or the waste container. Sonic signals are converted into an electrical signal that can be shown as a visible indication of liquid level on a display.
