Little Chief Mountain

We are  viewing the twin peak notch, which is a part of a ridge that extends north out of a bigger mountain named  Little Chief Mountain. It is part of the Lewis Mountain range in Glacier.  The top of the mountain is hidden behind the trees. You  realize its full majestic stature as it rises out of south  Saint Mary Lake.  Virginia Creek winds around the base of the mountain. An epic moment captured in time of this  1 million acre National treasure with 700 lakes,  melting    glaciers, alpine meadows and 700 miles of trails.
