Palouse Bridge

Driving just south of Rosalia, Washington along the Palouse Highway, I was lucky enough to look over my shoulder at the right moment to see the sun reflecting off an old, but elegantly designed railroad bridge. I was awestruck! Suddenly I stopped the car, jumping out to take a closer look at the bridge’s graceful arches. I told myself then, “One day I have to paint that bridge” And now with great pleasure, I have done just that. I love the subtle contrast between the rolling farmland background and the soft white of the bridge in the foreground.For me, bridges signify crossing over from one place to another-physically, mentally or spiritually.Shipping costs may change based on actual rates.
