BIG LEBOWSKI

Jeff "The Dude" Lebowski; beer, bowling, zen. The fable of a man and his rug captured  the end of the ‘90s. The film spawned festivals and adult bowling themed birthday parties. I try to challenge myself with each poster and with this one I was trying to make a poster that you could hang upside down and it would look right. You can see the White Russian becomes the dividing line, at the top it has a white background and the bottom dark. The cream flowing into the drink turns into the LA skyline. I thought it was a good fit for the trippy dream sequence in the film and how the Dude’s life gets turned upside down. It wasn’t quite as successful as I wanted it to be an upside down poster, but it did make an interesting composition with the upside down bowling lanes.
