I love a classic! One of the most recognized Owls in the world, the Athenian owl is from coin in ancient Greece. It was the heaviest and most standardized coin of it's time from 500bc-500ad. (On the original ancient coin , the owl was on the back side and a portrait of Athena, the goddess of wisdom and warfare is on the front.) I did a modern take on it using thick sterling silver in a die press, similar to minting a coin. The backside is hand stamped with a celestial eye and stars. The pendant has a nice weight to it and is 1-3/8" across (35mm). (It is much larger than the actual ancient coin or other reproductions.) The sterling anchor chain is 24" long and is also of a nice weight. This is also available with sapphire gemstones, see other listing.
