Sapphire U Pavé Band

I learned how to pavé set after studying under master diamond setter Alexandre Sidorov in Antwerp, Belgium.  Pavé setting is a traditional stone setting technique dating back to the 1700's.  This ring is a Kastel pavé setting where I have taken a flat band, hand drilled and hand cut with the aid of a pneumatic graver and microscope. 1.75 mm 14k yellow gold band, ~1.50 mm thick.
