Chestnut Farm, c. 1838. In 1875 the first barn built here burned to the ground. The one that stands today - so named for the abundance of chestnut used in its construction - was built around 1890. The property had numerous other outbuildings, including chicken coops, a carriage shed, stables, and of course an outhouse. This photograph appears in the Doors of Weston book, is a signed digital archival print sublimated to aluminum, and measures 12" x 18".
