The Open is 100% Sauvignon Blanc from Upton Vineyard in Redwood Valley, Mendocino. The Sauvignon Blanc vines were planted in 1969 on the increasingly rare, low-yielding St George rootstock and have been certified organic since 1990. The vineyard is also dry farmed, further decreasing yields, but intensifying flavors. A a fun take on classic Sauvignon Blanc. Zippy wine, somewhat ripe but definitely not flabby, that puts this crowd pleasing grape on center stage. 100% Sauvignon Blanc 12.9% ABV, 20ppm SO2 added at bottling
