Uinta - A Turtleneck Sweater Kit by Tayler Harris

Named after the mountains of her home state, Tayler Harris designed Uinta as a timeless, lightweight turtleneck sweater with simple, organic cables worked throughout. Garment pieces are worked in the flat from the bottom up, and the sleeves are picked up at the armhole edge. The sweater is blocked flat and seamed from the hem to sleeve cuffs. The ribbed turtleneck is worked in the round from picked up stitches around the neckline. Knit in our fingering weight yarn, the beautiful stitch definition of the gentle cables, as well as the drape of the finished fabric, aptly reflect the designer's inspiration: The sweater, Uinta, reminds me of the beautiful forests that cover the range. The rolling land and gentle slopes, the trees that seem to go on forever up into the sky…my hope is that as you knit this piece, and see the cables come to life, it will bring a sense of peace into your day.
