“She has no fear” © JUNNY 2023 Medium: African textile, cowrie shells, beads, gold acrylic paint Description: This sculpture is a  22" fabric and foam head with a black Gye Nyame African fabric base. The head is decorated with cowrie shells and charm chakra beads, which are arranged in a circular pattern around the face. The shells are also used to create a crown-like shape around the head. The fabric has been painted with gold acrylic paint to give it a weathered look. Title: The title of the work, "She has no fear," is a reference to the Gyne Nyame African fabric, which means "Except God." The artist is using this fabric to represent the strength and power of women. The cowrie shells and beads also have symbolic meaning, as they are often used to represent fertility, prosperity, and protection.
