A Honking Big Goose

We sourced this goose from a local estate sale and when I walked away with this bird carefully cradled in my arms, people LOST THEIR MINDS.  The piece was nestled on top of a shelf, way way up, and it was - to my good fortune - totally overlooked.  Measuring 21" long and 12" tall, this is a sizable fowl.  Hand-carved and signed by renowned decoy carver Scott Huntsman, of Big Sky Carvers (located in Montana), this is marked number 1346.  The colors are rich and dreamy - deep browns and creamy creams make this a fall decorators dream.  The realistic details - especially in the fine feather painting - has us imagining him taking flight across the September sky.  The condition of the piece is fantastic - no observed flaws present.  In very solid wood, it's a hefty specimen and will require a place of honor to show him off in your home.   Solid Wood Canada Goose Decoy from Big Sky Carvers, Artist Scott Huntsman  Dimensions: Measures 21" long, 12" high and 10" wide  This is a pre-loved dand
