Birds of a Feather Folk Art
We absolutely love the bright, bold colors of this folk art piece of two technicolor birds hanging out in a lush tree. We actually thought this was a Mexican folk art piece, but we think, after research, this is Indian folk art in the style of a Madhubani painting (which we just learned about!) Traditionally these paintings were done by drawing lines and filling them in with a variety of tools--twigs, matchsticks, brushes, or fingers--using natural pigments. We don't fully know the origin of this piece, but we do know a dandie when we see one. This is a great piece to mix into a vivid and bright gallery wall or to stand alone on its own as a bright pop of color. Madhubani Style Indian folk art painting in a faux wood plastic frame; note: the frame doesn't have glass Dimensions: full framed piece is 10" square; art itself is 7" square This is a pre-loved dandie in excellent condition we note no major flaws to the frame or the art
