1887 Gold St Josephs Academy Wheeling West Virginia Excellence of Conduct Medal Please do review all of the photographs as they are of the actual item you are buying. Unique and rare Victorian era school award from St. Joseph's Academy Wheeling West Virginia. This was awarded June 22nd of 1887 to Miss Julia Clarke for Excellence in Conduct by the Rt. Rev. Mgr. Sullivan. These are hard to find, and rarely available for purchase. The piece is rose gold and measures 1 1/2" high, a fraction over 1" wide and is approx .40mm thick and weighs a total of 2.6 grams. The piece tests 14K gold using two methods of testing. This piece has been xray analyzed using a Spectrometer along with a separate acid test process. All that to say, I believe the piece is most likely a heavy gold filled piece and without damaging the piece, I simply cannot verify it is solid gold. This piece will come with a shadow box for hanging display. The shadow box measures 5" x 4" x 1 1/2". It will not be setup for display
