Circa 1905 Antique Picture Frame 13 3/4 x 8 1/4 For A Dance of Apollo and Muses Print

Old chromolithograph of the Dance of Apollo and Muses is in Very Poor condition. Image measures about 9 3/4" x 4 1/4" approx. Red frame with gilt metal trim was designed to show this print and measures about 13 3/4 x 8 1/4. Back is covered with black paper that is pretty much torn up. Water staining is present so the image on the front may have water staining not visible though I see a touch of staining at the white trim edge. Chipping & losses visible to the image, and the more the frame is handled the more the chipping happens. The image is simply not worth keeping in my opinion as it is flaking. The price you see is for a unique antique frame. Frame needs to be cleaned and repainted; gilt trim needs to be cleaned and repainted. Original glass has some scratching. If keeping the Image, it should be reset and a of course the back of the frame will need a new cardboard piece and repapered.
