A lovely example of an old hand painted miniature image of the Virgin Mary and baby Jesus. Modeled after the 15th century painting completed by Puccinelli. It was a very popular piece at the turn of the century (1900) with gold gilded chromolithographs of this  piece, Our Lady of Perpetual Help S Maria De Perpetuo Succursu. I have a Chromo of this bit in storage somewhere... Anyway, frame is gold gilded with some losses to the gilding. The portrait is beautifully done on an unknow canvas showing exquisite detail. Minor paint loss as would be expected an old piece like this. Lovely piece, most likely from Italy. Please do check out my other items as I am happy to consolidate shipping!
