Rosenlaui Glacier & Rosenlaui Village Canton of Bern Switzerland c1869 Photograp

A rare original photograph by Adolphe Braun from circa 1869. The photo title is Rosenlaui Glacier. Located in the Canton of Bern Switzerland. A unique view looking down on the village of Rosenlaui. At bottom of the photo are 3 men, one leaning on a stick, one laying on some device and another looking at the man laying on his side. Two hats sit nearby. In the distance you can see the village dwelling and in far distance the Rosenlaui Glacier. The photo card measures approx 9 3/4" x 8 1/2" with the actual image sizing being about 7 1/2" x 6 1/4" approx. I believe the photograph is of French origin and use the albumen silver print technique. Condition: tanning, foxing, spotting and board is wavy from moisture with edge wear. There are some minor white discolorations along the right edge of the photo and at the top left corner.
