Solid Ziricote Wood Hourglass With Smooth Spindles

This custom Signature Collection hourglass is handcrafted from solid ziricote wood grown in Central America. Often referred to as a "poor man's" ebony, this is a dark, very striking wood. The color is brown with irregular dark brown and black streaking. Ziricote is the most dramatic member of the Cordia genus, which grows in Central and tropical South America. It it also the heaviest, most dense wood we carry. Combined with glass bulbs hand-blown in England, this sand timer makes a bold statement in any room. As with all wood each piece will vary slightly in graining and color making each hourglass unique. Hourglasses are handmade so sizes are approximate.    Made in the USA Specifications: Offered in 2 sizes - 4"D x 6"H and 6"D x 10"H (size approximate as globes are handblown and frame built around them) Available fully assembled (as shown) or in kit form. Fully assembled have 5 or 15 minute timers in the 4x6 size, 60 or 50 minutes in the 6x10 size Kits are available with two options
