GENERAL DESCRIPTION In 1970, NASA awarded Omega one of its highest honors: the “Silver Snoopy Award,” an internal recognition that rewards individuals or companies for exceptional contributions to the safety and success of manned space missions. The reason? During the Apollo 13 mission, the Omega Speedmaster chronograph was vital.
