Inspired by her long road to diagnosis, this annual art show aims to raise awareness and funds for the Ehlers-Danlos Society while celebrating our artistic community. There is a phrase in the medical field: If you hear hoofbeats, think of a horse, not a zebra. It means to look for the more likely explanations before considering outliers. Since EDS is so difficult to diagnose, the symbol became the zebra. A group of zebras is called a dazzle, making "Together We Dazzle" the motto of the Ehlers-Danlos Society. We host the annual art shows in Athens, Georgia and raise money for the society though raffle and artwork sales.
