OPELU Race Paddle

The Opelu is our big blade on the block. We reduced the teardrop entry for a more squared off tip for a slightly different entry and catch feel.  The result is an incredible "locked" feel on the catch.  The blade holds solid pressure throughout the power phase and releases with ease.  We found a lot of paddlers, especially OC1 paddlers, use this blade as a training blade because of the superior catch and load. The Opelu is constructed of a combination of lightweight woods such as Balsa, Cedar, Basswood, and White Pine. We use a vertical shaft for unparalleled strength. Carbon fiber and fiberglass mesh add strength and protection to the blade. Our special edging adds protection and longevity to the paddle's edge without chipping or cracking.
