Sea Stone 15/04

  Soft Sculpture 7" x 8" x 7.5" 2015 Blown glass, mixed red and gold hollow murrine meticulously woven together with copper wire and a bronze tag with artist's signature. A lovely design small reminiscent of organic growth systems. Inspired by my fascination with the calcium carbonate 'bones' of coral reefs.  I grew up diving in the Caribbean and helping my mother in her dive business on St Thomas.
