Indigo Checkered Tote

We created a limited mini collection of 4 totes made from a handwoven indigo-dyed panel with an asymmetrical ikat pattern. The weavers considered this a mistake-ridden textile, but we fell in love with its artful design! The natural dyeing and weaving were all performed by hand at Lake Atitlán, and the leatherwork in Antigua. We love combining the specialized skills found in Guatemala and creating something new. This practical bag (our all-time best-selling bag silhouette!) comes with a leather inner pocket with a zipper for securing valuables along with two cloth pocket compartments and a leather strip for hooking your keys.
