Tricalcium Citrate (TCP) is odorless, crystalline powder, most commonly used calcium salt of citric acid, has high calcium content of 21%. It is slightly soluble in water and freely soluble in diluted hydrochloric acid, insoluble in alcohol. Highly bioavailable calcium source in foods, beverages and pharmaceuticals. Primarily used as an anti-caking agent in powder spices and soft drink mixes. As a food additive for increasing calcium particularly in cereals, dairy product, jams, condiments and regulate acidity and enhance flavor in meat products.
