Demeter

Demeter is the Greek earth goddess associated with fertility, birth, grain, and the harvest. She is best known for the story of her daughter Persephone. When Persephone is abducted to the underworld by Hades, Deneter’s grief plunges the world into cold and darkness, creating the seasons as we know them. Thus, she is heavily associated with autumn, motherhood, and the astrological sign of Virgo. Her scent is dark with Vetiver (a relative of wheat) and Myrrh (symbolizing loss).
