To boost clamp load, lower deflection, and extend clutch life, ACT Xtreme pressure plates employ an innovative diaphragm design. For unmatched performance, all diaphragms go through a four-stage heat-treating procedure. Precision cover stampings on ACT pressure plates offer rigidity and consistency. The 6-pad spring-centered race disc from ACT has a spring-center design to effectively attenuate torsional vibrations and withstand failure in challenging circumstances. To support the spring, lower stress concentrations, and boost strength and dependability, ACT spring retainers use wraparound spring windows and thicker retainer stampings. Although shifting is quicker with the 6-pad spring-centered race disc, engagement is rougher. For bigger clutch sizes, the 6-pad spring-centered disc is advised because it can handle greater heat.
