My vests are sewn in small squares, filled with 2mm glass beads - no toxic plastic pellets are used in my shop. Vests are fully washable and should be no more than 5% of a child's body weight; adults can be up to 5lbs. This may not sound like much, but vests obviously sit differently on the body than blankets and the weight on your shoulders should not exceed that percentage.
