Tabriz has served as the capital for numerous rulers, starting with Atropates. In 1265, it became the capital of the Ilkhanate (Mongol) dynasty. Under the rule of Ghazan Khan in 1295, the city experienced its peak of grandeur. This distinctive masterpiece features a central medallion placed on a soft apricot color field and accented by a rich chocolate brown border. The combination of these two shades adds dimension and elevates this carpet as a focal point for any living space. Our pieces are hand-woven or hand-knotted using handspun wool & natural/vegetable dyes. These dyes are set using natural processes such as pine saps instead of animal urine to reduce allergy risks, making them safe for pets. Rugs over 100 years old are classified as antiques, while those between 20 and 100 years old are considered vintage.
