Clay Figure Sculpture "Hello Hello Hello"

What is not beautiful about hands, and all that they represent? This piece is one of my larger ones, so it has a lot of impact.  Covid made me do it. My class, where we made full figures from live models, was canceled due to Covid, and there I was, all alone with some clay and some time. So I found out that I had some ... ideas just waiting to be expressed. Here they are! Hands growing out of feet. The thought actually started with the observation that relaxed, horizontal hands look a lot like palm fronds (you have palm trees where you live, right?).  I found that I enjoyed the frisson of wrongness of these pieces I make with mismatched body parts, the way that some people enjoy scary movies (not me!). -- Free shipping.
