Clay Sculpture "I Just Felt a Drip"

This is what happens when adults let themselves play. As I've been making busts, I found that I enjoy fooling around with putting things other than hair on people's heads: nests, geometric shapes, leaves, spikes. Now we can add ice cream to that list. I start with a realistic face based on classical proportions and neutral expressions and then I see what evolves from there. In this case, what evolved was a swirl of soft serve ice cream. Sprinkles required. Just for fun. This was my first asymmetrical base, and I like it!
