Moon Blossom Brooch

This artistic "Branch Brooch" began with a one-off casting of an actual branch into sterling silver. From there, I imagined a scene a created a bit of a visual story, or poem. A hand fabricated solid 18 karat gold flower with a faceted blue sapphire nestles into the crook of the branch, and atop it sits a large white moonstone, which creates the idea of the full moon and all its magic shining from the horizon.  The brooch is 4 inches long with a 3/4" multi-layer blossom and 3/4" white moonstone set into fine silver. It can be worn as a traditional brooch on a lapel, or on a scarf or the 'blank canvas' of a solid black tee shirt or dress.
