Waiting Boats

In the permanent collection of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, this necklace tells a visual story of Boston's historic waterfront and the emotion evoked in feeling layers of time. I used to love to wander Fort Point Channel and the few remnants of the Old West End, (abutting the North End) to see the Ghost Signs of old-time advertising, the bricked over windows, and remnants of wallpaper, where the inside of a building became the outside, and other signs of life long-ago lived.
