woolen amulet bag

I made these little amulet bags out of fresh leaf indigo dyed wool crepe. Each bag is embellished with a botanical stitching or a weaving, stitched in bright colors of mohair/silk yarn and cotton thread. This is my favorite kind of gift to give - it can hold a tiny treasure, a love note, or a mantra.  Amulets hang from a colorful 22-24" crocheted mohair/silk cord. They vary in size, most average 1.5 x 1.5". Wear as a necklace to protect and inspire, or hang as a decoration on a wall, from your rear-view mirror, over your bed, in a shrine...  Handmade with love.
