Gado Gado Mangosteen Rectangle Platter

Commissioned by husband and wife team Thomas and Mariah Pisha-Duffly for their flagship Portland restaurant, I created the iconic Gado Gado wallpaper to tell the story of Tom’s Chinese Indonesian heritage and ingredients they love. Inspired by antique Peranakan porcelain, each vignette combines fruit with native birds in candy colors reminiscent of Singapore. Made of several sheets of FSC®-certified birch veneer and protected by a laminated melamine-based surface, resulting in a durable, environmentally friendly product.
