SKATEBOARD P
INNER jjj DIALOGUE I love Pharrell. I love his intentions, I love his style, I love his aura, I love his sound. His music always made sense to me; every beat had every color, every texture, and every layer to create visual perfection. This is something I intuitively knew the first time I ever heard his music but only learned why I knew this later in life. We both are synesthetic. We see color and texture in music and sound holds a place in space. Music is a painting. It’s a literal painting. Once I had the vocabulary to describe this experience, I sought out to build my style around it. “All I aim to paint is a perfectly crafted Pharrell song.” I would like to add, I illustrated this piece and the next day he was announced as Virgil’s successor at Louis Vuitton. So, No One Ever Really Dies. Coincidence? Maybe. DESCRIPTION Museum-quality posters made on thick matte paper.
