INNER jjj DIALOGUE I’ve always focussed on people who inspire me when drawing portraits. I don’t think that’s uncommon. It’s almost as if I hope to catch a little of their magic as I bring them to life on the page; like a piece of them will become a piece of me. Virgil, in particular, had a magic that every single creative hoped to grab on to,. I could write a novel on what his place in this world meant for my own creative journey, but I’m an artist, not a novelist. So instead, I illustrated this. I think it captures my feelings nicely.
