Gustav Mahler: Achte Symphonie (Rudolf Koch)

The year is 1922. It’s December 4 (or 5). You’re all dressed up to go hear Mahler’s Eighth Symphony in Frankfurt. On your way in, the usher hands you a program with bonkers lettering on the front. And the text inside is set in a face you’ve never seen. The lettering (and the illustration inside depicting the Holy Trinity) and the type are all the work of Rudolf Koch. Set in Koch-Antiqua in the same year the face was issued. Incidentally, just before the premiere of this symphony in 1910, Mahler discovered that his wife having an affair with Walter Gropius. FYI.
