It’s 1983. Fifty-nine-year-old Rudolph de Harak is celebrating his work and his team. He wants to show off a little. And maybe rustle up some work for himself. He prepares a handsome portfolio book and sends a copy to Alvin Eisenman, the head of graphic design at Yale. A letter must be composed and typed to accompany it. This is that letter—along with the portfolio book. A handsome showing of physical correspondence + a good work by an excellent modernist designer.
