✧Listing is for ONE Rogerley Mine Fluorite Thumbnail Specimen pictured above. Pick your own. Each specimen comes mounted in a 1 1/4" perky box. The majority of these have some minor damage which is (partly) why they're so affordable! *DISCLAIMER: The color of these specimens look different indoors versus outdoors so when you see these in person indoors, their color will look different from the product videos* ✧These pieces exhibit mild daylight fluorescence. Daylight fluorescence is a phenomenon where there’s an evident color change in a mineral under sunlight versus indoor lighting. These pieces will have a gemmy green color indoors & a (darker) blue/green color outdoors as a result of UV rays from the sun. Fluorite that experiences daylight fluorescence is sometimes also known as “color changing fluorite.” ✧Rogerley Mine, Rogerley Quarry, Stanhope, County Durham, England. ✧“First discovered by collectors Lindsay Greenbank and Mike Sutcliffe in an abandoned 19th century limesto
