She has not only transformed my life, but is among the reasons this campaign exists at all. Her family’s story has been touched deeply by breast cancer, on both sides, and through her I first learned of the BRCA gene—a quiet thread that can alter lives, increasing the risk of breast and ovarian cancer, and whispering danger into the realms of pancreatic and even prostate cancer. Yet, Lexi meets this knowledge with courage. She advocates for testing, for awareness, for taking the reins of one’s own health. She has urged me to listen to my body, to protect it, to care for it.
