Massive funk from Soul Excitement – a single that really lives up to the promise of the group's name! "Stay Together" starts slow and heavy with this weird sing-song part that almost makes you think the song's a tripped-out one – but then suddenly, the whole thing explodes, and the band picks up the pace tremendously – really jamming over some tight funky drums, while the members call out some super-righteous lyrics! "Smile" is more straight soul, but still really great – a deep deep deep number that almost sounds like a lost treasure from the vault of Stax Records!
