Tim Lahan: Rise/Set

Signed and numbered edition of 150 by Tim Lahan 4 color screenprint on French 100lb cover, 24"x18", 2017 "Rise/Set" is based off of a gouache painting I made as part of a series of abstracted stacking rocks. I've been working on the series for the past several years as a means to explore the concept of 'assembling' a static image or scene from several smaller pieces stacked on top of each other. This image in particular attempts to build a sunset from stacked multi-colored stones that give a tangible quality to something that's naturally fluid and untouchable. Tim Lahan is a San Francisco-based graphic artist and illustrator splitting his time between commercial work and personal projects that include everything from self-publishing to painting. His work has been featured/collected in a bunch of different places in print, online, and in the physical world including places like Printed Matter, The New York Public Library, and the MoMA Library.
