NUX Mod Core Deluxe mkII Pedal with 8 Different Modulations and Smart Tap Tempo
The NUX Mod Core Deluxe mkII is an update that adds a different set of algorithms and a few useful features to an already solid and affordable stereo multi-modulation pedal concept. Like in mkI, there are 8 different modulation effects, but the algorithms in this new version are inpsired by evergreen classic pedals like the BOSS CE-1, the Dunlop Uni-Vibe, the TC Electronic Stereo Chorus Flanger and the MXR Stereo Chorus and Phaser 100, just to mention a few, with some of them represented twice, like the TC Flanger/Chorus or the Uni-Vibe vibrato and chorus modes. It must be highlighted that the old version of the Mod Core featured Tremolo, Rotary and Pan algorithms that are not featured in MkII. Global Rate and Depth knobs are integrated by a Tweak control that manipulates a different parameter for each effect, while the on/off switch has a new smart Tap Tempo function. The two stereo Ins and Outs can be used as a regular stereo pedal or you can use Out 2 as an FX loop in parallel mode (center position) that gives you two mono outs (one wet, one clean) and lets you use the Tweak knob to set the ratio between the modulated signal and the Send/Return signal from the loop. We added the NUX Mod Core Deluxe mkII to our comprehensive article about the best multi-algorithm modulation pedals.
