Jean L. Kreiling is the author of three previous collections of poetry from Kelsay Books: Shared History (2022), Arts & Letters & Love (2018), and The Truth in Dissonance (2014). Her work has been awarded the Rhina Espaillat Poetry Prize, the Kim Bridgford Memorial Sonnet Prize, the Frost Farm Prize for Metrical Poetry, the Able Muse Write Prize, two Laureates’ Prizes in the Maria W. Faust Sonnet Contest, and three New England Poetry Club prizes, among other honors. Kreiling is Professor Emeritus of Music at Bridgewater State University, and she formerly taught English at Western Carolina University. Her articles on the intersections between music and literature have been published in several academic journals.
