The Beauty we Missed

prints of the original oil painting by Ken Dahl Growing up as a young teenager in northern Minnesota fishing country was taken for granted at the time. I guess it would be the same as a youngster being raised in Fiji. It’s “just where you live.” But now, in the autumn of my life, I look back and see just how beautiful even the coldest weeks of February were. Like anywhere else, it was a way of life. Depicted here is my father closing out another day with food for his family – driving what we now call a “vintage snowmobile” (1965 Polaris Snow-traveler).
