The Painter at Cannon Beach - Original Oil Painting

Original oil painting on 36" x 20" stretched canvas July 2024 “Oh, the freedom of the road!” Back in 2013 I chanced upon this summer scene in Cannon Beach, Oregon. At the time I thought it would be a unique composition for a painting, but I never got around to it until now. I love this view from some side street overlooking the houses below. It really shows the scope and size of the rocks. And now, every time I look at the finished piece I imagine being there. I can hear the crashing waves and the cry of the sea gulls, but I can also smell onion burgers cooking somewhere.
