Size: 24 X 24 Medium: acrylic, charcoal, oil pastel From The Artist: When trying to develop the concept of the heart and soul of this collection, I kept reflecting on the idea that I have been carried through many trials and “Storms” throughout my life. It was difficult to walk through each tribulation, but in looking back I could see God’s hand and provision in each circumstance. I was also drawn to the sheer reverence one must have for the ocean. We are powerless in trying to control its force and magnitude and one can have these same feelings when experiencing a difficult season in life. Only the Creator can command the wind and the waves and He is with us in our most difficult of times. When creating this collection I tried to convey these deep emotions through movement and texture while providing pockets of protection in each piece.
