Quick Bolt Tongs can be easily made by heating, splitting with a hot chisel, shaping the jaw, and riveting together. The open jaw makes these tongs ideal for grabbing metal with a bulky end that would get in the way with other styles of tongs.  Difficulty Level: Beginner/IntermediateTools Required: Vise, Hot Chisel, Hammer, Drill or Hot PunchHelpful Tools: Rivet Bucking/Heading Tool Quick Bolt Tong blanks are made from 3/8" thick mild steel. The jaws are 2-1/4" wide and the reins are 13" long. Price includes two Quick Bolt Tong blanks (to make one pair), one 5/16" x 1-1/2" rivet, and an Instruction page.
