Investing in Commercial Real Estate

Course Credit: PLE Credits: None CE Credits: 3 Hours Elective This course covers the basic commercial property types and explains the differences between each. It then dives into the fundamentals of investing in commercial real estate and what you need to know before you counsel your clients. The main thrust of the course is to explain the Income Capitalization Approach to valuation of real property. To do this, it examines and explains the various factors that go into calculating a capitalization rate. It concludes with a practical application of the material to show how to use the Income Capitalization Approach to create an investment package valuable to a client.
