A sense of powerful energy emanates from Kateri Quandelacy Sanchez's serpentine Bear who reigns supreme in its mountainous home. Not only is the bear a forest guardian but a protector of The A:Shiwi (The People) and all who respect it. Having a carving like this one can summon bear-like traits within ourselves such as strength, healing and groundedness. Heartfelt eyes are from jet inlays, while an offering bundle of gratitude is full of bright orange spiny oyster shell, perhaps green turquoise and fine heishe beads. The mineral has natural inclusions resembling heartlines or breath paths. About 2" long, 3/4" wide and 1 3/8" tall.
